In the wake of the destruction wrought by the one of the Starmasters known as The pig, the librarians and visitors of the library tried to save as much as they could with the help of the brave skyknights.
The following day all seemed to change as a new visitor arrived in the library. A bulky dragonborn whose silver scales glimmered in the light of the sun. He wore the armor of the Khaulhra guard and quickly found himself confronted by Tensa Zangetsu who had seen the newcomers face in his dreams. Effectively making this person the man of his dreams.
This dragonborn, revealing himself as Sakair Icescale – somehow misheard as eyescaleby some of our bravest and most valiant heroes, told of Prince Iskaldiër and his wish to gain support from the library. Both in the form of politics and information.
Later that day, the party was summoned by Guran who first told them about a test concerning the imperial throne and asked help in advising the head librarian according to the current safety issue. As it was clear that there was still someone out there determined to destroy this library…
The initial choice was either trusting Prince Iskaldiër or try and rescue the skyknights that were held captive and have them defend the library. Or – as the brave heroes themselves considered – give the library to the new empress.
Eventually they chose to let the prince have and defend the library.
The next day the party prepared to leave to bring the dwarven ambassador and his group to the dwarven citadel of Rez-ny-arac. Bjaern Ironbeard received a backpack containing Nezima’s spellbook along with a cracked crystall ball and some dwarven neccesities.
Guran said his farewell to the party and told their commander Solarius luminos to remain in the dwarven citadel untill he arrived. As a gift, he gave Solarius luminos his sunblade.
The group left the library behind them and after a couple of days, arrived in a fey forest. Obor Witherleaf immediatly realised that there was something horribly wrong with the forest.
During the night, Annunnaki Stormwalker tried to kidnap Silvars children, but was quickly chased down by the heroes who managed to slay his wyvern. However, something seemed to connect Stormwalker with the children. To break this unnatural connection, the party traveled towards what they believed to be the source of whatever harmed the forest. On their way, the party found an archfey that was wounded by a spear. After Obor Witherleaf helped the archfey, it was revealed that two women were preparing some sort of ritual. One felt as cold as death and the other one felt ancient.
The party found the ritual site and the camp surrounding it. Obor Witherleaf succesfully infiltrated the site and managed to take the item that connected Silvars kids to their kidnapper. On his way out, though, disaster struck as the ritual was fully performed and Princess Nydara became a walking beacon of death incarnate after she grew to impatient to wait for Nezima’s return.
Next time on The Skyknights. Session 7: The Crymson Fyre.
Mercenaries mounted upon giant vultures scour the skies.
A keep on a hill looms eerily over the surrounding farmlands.
“Are they provoking the Dwarves?”
And… nah, not gonna spoil that.
